Is my device locked?

If you’re new to your current carrier, or if you’re financing a device, there’s a chance your device may be locked.

How to check if your device is locked (may vary by device):

iPhones (iOS)

  • Go to Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock (or Network Provider)
  • “No SIM restrictions” means your phone is unlocked

Android Phones (Samsung, Moto, Pixel, etc.)

  • Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks, Cellular Network, or SIM > Network Operators
  • “No SIM restrictions” or multiple carriers listed means your phone is unlocked

NOTE: You can always call your current carrier for a definitive answer.
